Hello! My name is MaryAnn Paligo, LCSW. I have lived in Colorado for 14 years and love it here! I am originally from Utah. I grew up on a dairy farm in south-central Utah, and then studied Psychology at Brigham Young University in Provo, UT. I then earned my Masters of Social Work from the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, UT. My husband and I have five children and I have always loved being around children. I love working with kids in all aspects, but especially in helping them learn to handle big emotions and big situations in life.
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I specialize in working with children, teens, young adults, adults, families, individuals, or groups. I help those dealing with anxieties, depression, behavioral issues, anger, and parenting, panic, identity, traumatic events, addiction (specifically online addiction--sexual, gaming, or other), disordered eating, self-harm/suicidal ideation, school refusal, resilience training, assertiveness training, emotion regulation, social skill training, and many other aspects of mental health.
I do not specialize in autism treatment.
I work with parents and families, giving them tools and skills that work together to provide families with structure and support, improve family communication and deal with parental divorce, separation, and other issues.
I am happy to provide Christian based therapy if desired.
I also am happy to coordinate care with primary care doctors if medication is needed or already in use.
I look forward to working with you and your family!
