At Springs Trauma Center, our Integrated IOP is designed for individuals navigating the challenges of substance use and unresolved trauma. We understand how deeply connected these struggles can be - and we treat both with care, respect, and proven tools for healing.

Core Goals of a
Substance Use IOP:

Help individuals reduce or stop substance use

Address underlying causes (e.g., trauma, mental health, stress)

Build coping skills and relapse prevention strategies

Provide a supportive peer environment for recovery

Improve quality of life and functioning
What's Included in an IOP?
Group Therapy (the backbone of IOP)
Focus on topics like triggers, cravings, boundaries, relapse prevention. Provides peer support and accountability and has traumafocused or dual-diagnosis groups available in many programs.
Individual Therapy
Personalized support for deeper emotional or behavioral work and an exploration of root causes (e.g., trauma, depression, anxiety)
Psychoeducation
Learn about addiction, the brain, coping mechanisms, and recovery strategies
Family Involvement
(when appropriate)
Family therapy or education to strengthen support systems and heal relationships
Case Management &
Support Services
Help with housing, employment, legal issues, or connecting to other resources
Drug Testing
Often included for accountability and treatment planning
